My GT 7600 is starting to show its age, im thinking about a nice upgrade. I was going to wait for the 8700 but that looks like it will never be. So i know SK has an 8600 and some other people have it too. I would like some thoughts on the card and how well it runs in CoD:4. Oh and i might go SLI with the 8600.

I upgraded from a 6800, huge difference :D
I run CoD4 with the optimized settings, havent played it much so I dunno what fps I get
BF2142 and AA both run amazingly smooth with maxed settings. I'll take note of what my FPS is the next time I hop on.

I have the 8600 BFG overclocked card and had to upgrade to a 650 wat BFG powersuply so that I could plug it in. I have it on the highest settings and it seems to be a great card. Wishes I had 2 pci e slots for duels but I dont so I may build me a dif. machine

from what im understanding, 2 8600 in SLI= an 8800. If i was to get only one 8600, i would only be getting the Dx10 upgrade.

lol if you have SLI capabilities on your mobo you should save up for a 8800....... then save up for another 8800..... that would be your best bet..... but the 8600's are really nice cards too...
