Gasps all around, I'm back. Tanner encouraged me to re-join the forums just for the heck of it really. I don't play aa anymore (got kinda stale). Really the only games I'm playing right now are the various flight sims, and Crysis. Other than that, I built myself a new pc......

Wiring was a bit of a pain, thats about the best I could come up with thanks the the lower mounted PSU

If anyones interested in the specs:
q6600 quad core (oc'ed and stable at 3.2ghz)
XFX 680i Mobo
XFX 8800GT
2 gigs Corsairs Dominator ram
WD 150GB Raptor drive
WD 250GB hard drive

Oh and vista, which has unactivated itself twice already, forcing me to call the quote "microsoft tech support" for new activation numbers. DX10 is cool though.

Anyway's no hard feelings guys (hopefully) and thats about all thats new on the pc side of things.:)

Vista sucks... frekin' Memory hog at it's best. I can send you a disk of Windows XP Pro you could put on there, much better if you want your computer to do anything :-P

Anywho, nice rig.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of vista, but hopefully SP1in January will help. Thanks for the offer with xp, I could dual boot, but I'm going to give vista a chance since DX10 does give a nice performance boost in applications that support it. That sad part is in xp, I had my memory usage down to 240mb. In vista, it's 640mb......

Nah, Gully ended up being able to help me. I'm having to take the truck in a 7:30 though. Those spark plugs are a ***** to change. Fingers crossed on the test though.

Yes I did put it all together. Was my first build but it only took 2 1/2 hours and posted the first time:) I had a dell that I had added different ram and a new PSU to so those went into the new one. But for the mobo, processor, case, heatsink ,and hardrives, about $800.
