Bad news Friends, who would have guessed it but it turns out hockey is slowly dieing in West Texas. Texas has more professional hockey teams than any other state or province in North America. At one time all six major metropolitan areas in West Texas had a CHL team Abilene Aviators, Amarillo Gorillas, El Paso Buzzards, Lubbock Cotton Kings, Odessa Jackalopes, and San Angelo Outlaws/Saints. Of those six teams three no wait two teams are left.
That's rite boys and girls another one of our West Texas hockey brothers has fallen. The Lubbock Cotton Kings were unable to negotiate a lease with the ****ty of Lubbock. It's down to Odessa and Amarillo, coming in at 2nd and 3rd for worse attendance in the league I'm sure we wont be very fare behind.
A moment of silence for our fallen comrades.:(
