I've had a pretty interesting (RE)-start to playing AA again. Just downloaded what was then the newest version 2.8.1 a couple of days ago. Started slowly to get my feet wet again. Ran into DR and DC out on a Bridge server and had a great time. Till my connection died on me. Random emergency maintenance so says my cable company. Everything was ok afterwards.
Started to get used to things again over on Iowa Bridge Junkies. Played with a couple of people from way back who remembered me. All was good till one round in the middle of a game. Start of the round I was idle cause I was chatting with my girl. Switched back and the round had started already. Admin had forced SF weaps. I camp at the tree on the hill next to def arch. I take aim and kill E crossing the bridge. I run over to the stairs and kill more E. Needless to say my squad was wiped out and I was the last one. Nine kills later and Defense wins. Feels good to be in the grove.
So all was good. I was feeling quite proud of myself. New round starts and next thing I know I get booted off the server. I tried to reconnect and it says I've been BANNED permanently! WTF?! I go over to IBJ forums and find that I had in fact been banned by an admin. So I reply and make a short plea for my case. They say I was returning "black" screenshots. I clicked on their SS server. YES. A lot of my SS were indeed black. Why? I don't know. But I had just as many normal SS too.
They say there could be a number of reasons for "black" SS. And that once I fix the issue - which I have no idea how to - they would then unban me. I'll do more research. Try whatever fix there is. Any suggestions?
And now I find out that there is a newer version that was just released. LOL! 2.8.2! Hahahaha. Funny way to restart playing AA. Thought I would share :) Catch you guys out there. And hey, miss playing with you all :D
