The opening weekend for the AFL's 2007 season has come and gone. Things are looking good if your an arena ball fan in Texas.
Dallas-
Today the Dallas Desperados traveled to New York to face the Dragons. The Desperados are sending the rest of the league a message with today's game. A 60 to 7 slaughter, this game was meant to show the Desperados are the best team in the league and will show no mercy.
Austin-
The Wranglers opened up the season at home against the Las Vegas Gladiators. It wasn't an impressive start to the game, the Wranglers settled for a field goal on their first possession. Things quickly got going for Austin as they tried an on side kick and were able to recover and score a touchdown to put them up 10-0 early in the first quarter. Austin stayed dominant throughout the game winning it 57-36.
